Heroine is an Indian drama & a woman-centric film which deals with the story of a female super star who struggles through the trials & tribulations of being a Bollywood actress and her sudden rise to stardom. The film gave a daring, shocking and a scandalous behind the scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour that the film stars inhabit. For a country obsessed with films and film stars, Heroine, at the time of its release, took the audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of makeup rooms and vanity vans.
